A of recent origin state-of-the-art scientific communications center is being built by means of the Centers for Disease regulate and Prevention (CDC), according to a Dec 18 2002 moderns release from the CDC. The center will house meeting space for scientific training programs for public health professionals, a nave for distance learning, and a place for visitors to thought and learn about public health.

The facility is awaited to cost $62.5 million. It will house

* production studios with the capability to broadcast via the Internet and satellite to state and local health agencies and health care providers, interactive video, and a protected communications center;

* student-center auditoria and classrooms equipped with technology for multimedia communication;

* a learning resource center and public health library for pupils and visiting scientists; and

* a public health museum, which will engage visitors in various public health experiences and share the CDC's history.
