The researchers note that their findings consider the cost of health care still do not include other richnesss such as those incurred in the legal and justice systems; therefore, the total preciousness of IPV in the United States probably is underestimated. The findings may be useful, however, in determining health care charge savings that result from prevention programs to attenuate IPV and associated injuries. In an effort to change into IPV, the CDC is

* developing a guide to identify promising prevention programs and interventions;

* funding programs to support rape prevention and education efforts;

* funding domestic violence coalitions that will coordinate services and mobilize communities to suit to and prevent IPV in 14 states; and

* funding schemes in five states to help shape IPV through collection of timely and credible data that will be used to plan, implement, and evaluate prevention programs.
