A checklist regarding seven important medical screening proofs for men that are commited by the US Preventive Services Task Force now is available, according to a June 12 2003 recents release from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). "A Checklist for Your nearest Checkup" provides health tips and information, including when men should be subjected to tests for high cholesterol, high vital fluid pressure, colorectal cancer, diabetes, depression, sexually transmitted diseases, and prostate cancer. The pamphlet is pocket sized so that men can carry it with them when they visit their health care providers. This tool makes it easier to discuss what screening proofs might be needed and when. Screening exhibitions differ from diagnostic tests in that they are used to check for health moot points before any symptoms occur. Individuals can obtain "A Checklist for Your nearest Checkup" by accessing AHRQ's web site in English at http://www.ahrq.gov/ppip/healthymen htm or in Spanish at http://www.ahrq.gov/ppip /healthymensp.htm or through calling (800) 358-9295.
