The European Union's initiative to provide incentives for the disentanglement of medicines specifically for children has received a rapid reply By the end of May, the EU had received more than 60 stakes of comments on its consultation paper, "Better Medicines for Children" (see ACT July 2002) The majority have proceed from associations of health care professionals and academia, on the other hand also from patient associations, industry associations, nongovernmental organizations, and EU member states, ranging from the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in the Sultanate of Oman to the
