An expansion of not-for-cause surveillance evaluations (NFC evaluations) is underway at Health and Human Service's Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) The director of OHRP Greg Koski, PhD MD announced the change lately in an open letter to the human research community.
NFC evaluations, Koski explained, will be separate from the traditional for-cause investigations that are launched in answer to complaints, and distinct from the quality improvement (QI) consultations careered by the Division of Assurances and Quality Improvement.
