Despite new outbreaks of infectious diseases as it was as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), a studious mood found that as many of 30% of airline travelers did not wash their hands after using airport restroom according to a tribe 15, 2003, news release from the American Society for Microbiology. A total of 7541 tribe were observed in public restroom in airports in recently made known York, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, and Toronto. Among the findings were that 30% of air travelers in fresh York, 19% in Miami, and 27% in Chicago did not wash their hands after using public restroom In contrast, the majority of travelers (ie, 95% of men and 97% of women) in Toronto--a city that has experienced a major SARS outbreak--did wash their hands after using airport restrooms

These findings are vastly different from those of a telephone scan conducted in August 2003. Of 1000 Americans take a view ofed 95% said they wash their hands after using public restroom barely 58%, said they wash their hands after sneezing or coughing, however, and barely 77% said they wash their hands after changing a diaper.
