The AORN Board of Directors conducts the affairs of the Association. Officers and Board members are selected by the House of Delegates at Congres The President and President-elect each be under the orders of one-year terms; all other members of the Board of Directors aid two-year terms. Elections are staggered for a like reason time Board never is compos completely of modern members.

The Board confronts after Congress each year and at least sum of two units other times during the year. Reports from the Board of Directors' meetings are prepared according to the Secretary and submitted to the AORN Journal for publication.

At the 2004 Congres delegates will pick out a President-elect, a Vice President, a Secretary, and three Board of Directors members. Candidate profiles and election statements are published in this issue of the AORN Journal (see page 83) At Congres Board members will wear pale amethystine ribbons attached to their badges. Candidates will wear light virid ribbons. The President's ribbon is black.
