joined home appliances (or so-called "smart appliances"--those with embedded communications capability) continue to receive a apportionment of publicity. Some manufacturers have already introduced various performances into the marketplace and several others have plans to do in this way in the near future.
It remains to be seen to what degree the market will respond to these works but in order to enhance their market acceptance and succes it's important that standards are unraveled to facilitate interoperability between different brands and originals of appliances.
