The European Union Commission (EU) has approved the purchase of alone SpA by Dutch financial services company, ABN Amro Holding NV
ABN Amro is acquiring italian financial holding company Applied elements Companies SpA, which controls only an Italian manufacturer of electric motors and compressors for domestic and commercial appliances. Financial details have not been disclosed.
The deal was approved subject to the EU Commission's simplified antitrust measure This clears mergers or acquisitions after 1 month if no objections are raised from third parties.
