According to an article in Health, researchers now are beginning to understand what kinds of stres make populace susceptible to colds. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University asked 275 healthy men and women ages 18 to 55 about the stresse in their lives and then quarantined them for-six days. The individuals were given nasal small quantitys containing a cold virus.

the community who reported having at least single month of conflicts with lov commons were more than twice as likely to become ill as those who did not have of that kind conflicts. People who were unemploy for more than undivided month were three and one-half times more likely to acquire a cold than those with more transitory frustrations (eg bad day at work). The longer the duration of a stressful situation, the greater the individuals' supernumerarys of getting a cold.
