The 1999 exhibitors are committed t...The 1999 exhibitors are committed to supporting opportunities for the professional evolution of perioperative nurses. The AORN Exhibitors' Advisory Committee (EAC) administers and coordinates the Congres Incentive Program, Exhibitor Sponsorship Program, Nurses/Exhibitors Day, and the Michael D Corley Memorial Scholarship. The EAC is compos of eight industry members and sum of two units AORN staff members. The Executive Director of AORN acts as liaison to the EAC. The EAC members can be identified by the agency of the brown ribbons attached to their name badges. CONGRES INCENTIVE AND EXHIBITOR SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS The EAC committed an $80000 grant to the AORN Foundation to administer the Congres Incentive Program (CIP) and the Exhibitor Sponsorship Program (ESP) The CIP distributed $800 to 60 chapters and $350 to brace members at large. This program helps chapters send forth members to Congress. To be eligible for this drawing, individuals had to register through Dec 14, 1998, and their membership had to be circulating One entry was allowed through chapter for the drawing. A literal sense was mailed with the $800 check shortly after Dec 18 1998 notifying the winning chapter presidents. The ESP distributed foundations to two student nurses, sum of two units international nurses, four AORN members, and sum of two units nonmember RNs. To be eligible for this program, the applicant had to be registered for Congres and had to mail a one-page typ essay according to Dec 18, 1998. Winners will be notified by the agency of mail. NURSE/EXHIBITORS ACTIVITIES It is said that breakfast is the greatest in number important meal of the day. In fact, studies indicate breakfast is important to enhance learning, in such a manner start your learning experience at AORN exhibitor-sponsored breakfasts to be held from 6:30 to 7:45 AM Tuesday, March 30 between the sides of Thursday, April 1, in apartments 105/106 located outside Exhibit Hall C The 1999 Exhibitors also are sponsoring * the Jerry G mates Lectureship--"Making a Difference: Qualities That Make A Leader," readyed by Sheila Murray Bethel and * a Tuesday education session--"Seven Traits of the modern Synthesizer-Style Leader," presented by Kare Anderson.
