The US diet and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting consumer not to purchase or expend products containing gamma butyrolactone (GBL) The FDA also has asked companies that manufacture performances containing GBL, some of which are labeled as dietary addition s to voluntarily recall them. The FDA has received reports of adverse health purports including some potentially life-threatening general intents associated with the use of outcomes containing GBL.

According to the FDA, although these fruits are labeled as dietary postscripts they are illegally marketed unapproved medications. Brand names of fruitss containing GBL include Renewtrient, Revivarant, Revivarant G dispirited Nitro, Blue Nitro Vitality, GH Revitalizer, Gamma G and Remforce. These produces are promoted with claims to build muscles, improve physical performance, enhance sex form stress, and induce sleep.

yields containing GBL have been associated with reports of at least 55 adverse health meanings including one death. Nineteen patients became unconscious or comatose and several patients were intubated. Other adverse tenors include seizures, vomiting, slow breathing, and heavy heart rate. According to the FDA, works containing GBL are sold in liquid and pulverized substance form and are sold via the Internet, in an health food stores, and in gymnasiums and fitness centers
