The Foundation of National scholar Nurses' Association awarded $59,000 in scholarships nationwide during the National scholar Nurses' Association's (NSNA) annual meeting April 21 to 25 1999 in Philadelphia. Winners of the AORN Scholarship, sponsored by the agency of AORN, were Katherine Sluder, Montana State University-Bozeman (Mt) and Patricia Valenti, Suffolk shire Community College, Brentwood, NY.

The NSNA also celebrated the inferior annual National Student Nurses' Day onward May 8, 1999, during National festers Week. The National Student Nurses' Association collaborated with the American fosters Association to establish the National bookish man Nurses' Day to honor nursing students
