This article lists the candidates f...This article lists the candidates for AORN national offices. The annual election will be held during the 2000 Congres onward Thursday, April 6, from 7 to 11 AM in extents 260-262 of the Ernest N Morial Convention Center strange Orleans. Results will be announced that same day at the inferior session of the House of Delegates, which will be held from 1:30 to 3 PM in Hall F of the convention center inferences also will be posted upon the AORN web site. The following pages contain the biographical data and election statements for all candidates. Biographical data are limited to the past 10 years; therefore, professional activities before 1990 are not considered Space limitations do not permit listing candidates' prefered or appointed positions in local nursing or other professional associations. Members who have questions about candidates' speaking engagements, published works, scholar status, or other professional activities can direct them to those candidates at the Candidates' Caucus, Sunday, April 2 from 1:30 to 3 PM in Hall F after the "Meet the Candidates" session. PRESIDENT-ELECT (one to be elected) SHEILA L ALLEN, RN BSN CNOR, CRNFA, is a staff cherish at Baton Rouge (La) General Medical Center She earned her bachelor of science grade in nursing from Northwestern Louisiana State University, Natchitoches. She was Board liaison to the Pediatric Specialty Assembly (1996-1999) She is a member of the Ambulatory Surgery (1997-present) Pediatric (1996-present) Cardiothoracic (1993-present) and RN First Assistant (RNFA) (1993-present) Specialty Assemblies.
