Although cheap doses of aspirin have been commended to reduce the risk of heart attack, its inhibitory event on blood platelets peaks in month and platelets becomes les sensitive, according to a March 17 2004 recents release from the American association of Cardiology. Aspirin reduces the risk of heart attack by the agency of reducing platelets' ability to cluster together. This effect is distinct from the action of anticlotting medications.

A studious mood published in the Journal of the American guild of Cordiology examines resistance to the antiptatelet weights of aspirin. Researchers studied 150 patients taking aspirin for primary prevention and a restrain group of 80 patients taking ticlopidine, an antiplatelet medication.
