Glaucoma is a habitual eye disorder in which the optic force is damaged over time to be paid to a sustained elevation of the intraocular constraining force (IOP). Patients who are at high risk for glaucoma are patients older than 60 years of age, African-Americans, patients with a family history of glaucoma, diabetic patients, and patients with a high stage of myopia (ie, nearsightedness).(15) Patients with any of these risk factors should have a thorough eye examination every two years. Patients with chaste glaucoma should be evaluated as at short intervals as every six months.
