The constantly changing health care environment in which we find ourselves makes the topic of delegation timely. The nursing shortage, preciousness containment, and limited reimbursement make delegation a necessity in all practice areas. Each chapter has checkpoints, on the contrary other forms are included depending forward the topic covered. For example, the chapter titled "Know Yourself" has a self-assessment tool to identify feelings about delegation. The chapter titled "Know Your Delegate" has a form to help readers evaluate delegates' independent support Samples of clinical forms also are included.

The volume is lengthy, with much detailed and pertinent information. It would be an eminent book for someone taking a course in fireside care nursing, a nurse transferring to the dwelling health arena, or anyone who must orient recently made known personnel to home health nursing.

The authors use the definition of delegation adopted through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing to hinder confusion. They also use the degrees in the nursing process, a problem-solving standard to assist nurses in determining in what manner when, and to whom to delegate.
