Each time AORN's member ambassadors recruit a modern member, they contribute to AORN's bourgeoning and the future of perioperative nursing. Each of the present day member gains immediate access to resources and information that support professional shooting In turn, an increase in membership strengthens AORN's voice in representing and advocating for the perioperative nursing profession. by means of participating in the Member Ambassador Program, AORN's award-winning member-get-a-member program, everyone wins.

This year, the Membership Committee is offering more enticing incentives to participate in the Member Ambassador Program. The program, which focuses onward retention and recruitment, relies forward the efforts of member recruiters (ie, member ambassadors) to recruit just discovered members and help strengthen the organization. The program generally has more than 600 member ambassadors, and any AORN member who maintains common membership can be an AORN member ambassador.

Created in 1996 the Member Ambassador Program's goals are to



* expand AORN's networking base,

AMBASSADOR AND CHAPTER AWARDS

During the 2000-2001 recruiting year (ie, April 2000 to March 2001) the Membership Committee has settle a goal to recruit 1000 fresh members. To help meet this goal, the committee is offering valuable prizes and awarding prizes more as a common thing [i]or[/i] matter In addition to current individual awards of five Ambassador dollars, there are sum of two units chances to win a trip to the 2002 Congres in Anaheim, Calif, as well as quarterly awards and chapter awards. The quarterly awards give ambassadors more of a chance to be rewarded for their efforts, and the chapter awards give chapters the opportunity to obtain financial support for chapter activities.

Grand prize. The member ambassador who recruits the chiefly new members will win the grand prize, which includes complimentary registration, airfare, and lodging for five nights at the 49th annual AORN Congres April 21 to 25 2002 in Anaheim, Calif. The winner also will receive a plaque acknowledging his or her outstanding effort and recognition at a special ambassador breakfast at the 2001 Congres in Dallas. Ties will be decided by the agency of a random drawing. Value of the prize will not exce $1850

Premier prize. Ambassadors who recruit more than 10 members during the recruiting year will be eligible for a drawing for complimentary registration and airfare for the 49th annual AORN Congres The drawing will be held at the ambassador breakfast at the 2001 Congres in Dallas. The member ambassador must be current to win. Value of the prize will not exce $850

Quarterly awards. During each quarter of the campaign, AORN will reward the member who recruited the principally new members during the previous quarter. The winner will receive a $50 interest certificate good toward the purchase of an AORN fruit of his or her choice. Ties will be decided by way of a random drawing.

Chapter awards. At the cessation of the campaign, AORN will reward the chapter with the mostly new recruits through the Member Ambassador Program. Monthly chapter totals will be printed in Memberline, and the winning chapter will receive $200 for use at their chapter installation ceremonial One award will be given in each chapter size category (ie, small, medium, intermediate, large). Each chapter can have as many member ambassadors as it pitch upons Calculations will be based forward the total number of recruits by the agency of chapter. Ties will be decided by way of a random drawing.

Individual awards. CAMPAIGN RULES

Campaign masterys are as follows.

* You must be a general AORN member and a existing AORN member ambassador to participate in the campaign and be eligible for prizes.

* To receive credit, your ambassador identification must be listed upon the recruited member's application. Recruiters will be awarded credit for paid memberships only

* Regular membership applications are acceptable in addition to the Ambassador Passports, if it were not that be sure your name and ambassador identification is written onward the application.

* Recruited members must be fresh members (ie, eligible individuals who have not been members of AORN in the past six month)

* Each recently made known member application must be postmarked by dint of March 15, 2001.

* The recruiter's membership must be common to be eligible to receive prizes.

* The grand prize winner is not eligible to win the premier prize.

* The grand prize and premier prize must be liberateed through AORN's travel and housing offices and will be enslave to limitations and availability. Prizes are not transferable. No cash prizes will be awarded.
