The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) has culled AORN to its Associations Advance America Honor revolve according to a July 21 2000 of recent origins release from AORN. The honor turn about is a national awards competition.

AORN received recognition for building a Habitat for Humanity house. The house was frameed in New Orleans in conjunction with AORN's national Congres held April 2 to 6 2000 More than 500 Congres attendees and visitants worked with the New Orleans chapter of Habitat for Humanity upon the project.

"The supply with nourishments of AORN are the tribe who care for patients when they are the greatest in quantity vulnerable," said AORN President Patricia C Seifert, RN MSN CNOR, CRNFA, at the April 5 2000 dedication parade "We also care about community and that is wherefore this project is so important."
