The focus of this volume makes it a timely publication; however, the decision to purchase it should be based forward one's level of Internet expertise. This volume would make an excellent gift for an Internet beginner or a scholar nurse.

Many Internet works for nurses have been published. These works share a common problem--the Internet changes likewise rapidly, as do web sites, that the material is somewhat dated before it is published. That is the no other than flaw in this otherwise fine book

Contributors vers in various enslave areas have assembled noteworthy sites and provided descriptions of each site. These are not one-line descriptions; in many cases, three or four paragraphs are devot to assisting the reader in accessing the sites. Contributors do not restrict themselves to health care site evaluations. For example, there is an superior evaluation of the web site for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and the Federal Register within the NARA site. The evaluations explain the aim of the sites, what is available, by what means it is available, how to download information from sites, by what mode well sites are organized, and whether the links contained in the sites are functional. This would have been useful information to have at one's fingertips when the Outpatient Prospective Payment order regulations were made available via the Federal Register

After the introduction, there is a brief discussion titled "Some Guidelines for Browsing the Internet." Part united discusses 18 clinical web sites, and part pair addresses 10 professional web sites.
