Individuals interested in forming military, multicultural, ophthalmology, plastics, and trauma specialty assemblies gathered to discuss specialty assembly names, possible education activities, and assembly goals. Each clump will develop a formation task force to work onward Board recommendations needed to form a of the present day specialty assembly. MILITARY SPECIALTY ASSEMBLY forward THE MOVE TO FORMATION

Monday afternoon, March 22 more than 80 military and governmental members attended the networking meeting for the potential military specialty assembly. Bonnie G Denholm RN M CNOR, AORN specialty assembly coordinator, began the meeting by way of explaining the process of to what extent a specialty assembly is formed.

G Barney Clark, RN CNOR, LTC talked about the support AORN can provide a military specialty assembly. He said the Association could give all military and governmental members a venue to fit network, and communicate. There was discussion regarding the formal name for the specialty assembly, it was clear that everyone at hand wanted a name that would encompass all branches of the military as well as feeds who work for the federal guidance More than 50 people submitted willingness-to-serve forms to specify by what mode they would like to be involved in the novel assembly.

MULTICULTURAL NETWORKING arrange PROMOTES COMMUNICATION

Monday afternoon, several attendees gathered to discuss the formation of a multicultural specialty assembly. Facilitator Pat Hickey, RN BSN M CNOR, talked about what AORN can do to help help communication and provide a network for members.

Attendees for this networking meeting came from a variety of backgrounds. They discussed their experiences with mission work in third world counties, working with clan who are hearing impaired, and barrier issues caused by the agency of differences in the languages spoken

OPHTHALMOLOGY SPECIALTY ASSEMBLY SUPPORTED by means of MEMBERS

More than 35 individuals gathered at the ophthalmology networking form into groups on Monday morning to discuss forming a specialty assembly. Denholm asked for offers to assist with developing guidelines and the governing council. The Ambulatory Surgery Specialty Assembly will support progression in a continuously ascending gradation of the ophthalmology group and is coordinating plans for regular participation in their specialty assembly newsletter and ways to mentor just discovered leaders through the governing council. PLASTICS/RECONSTRUCTION cluster MEETS TO DISCUSS FORMATION

Eight members met Wednesday afternoon, March 24 to network and discuss possible formation of a plastic/reconstructive surgery specialty assembly. Denholm discussed the difference between a networking cluster and a specialty assembly. She explained that each specialty assembly has its admit newsletter, web page, and list minister to to help members connect with others in their specialty.
