AORN is pleased to announce that Thomas A. Cooper CAE, has been named the modern Executive Director of AORN. Cooper brings to AORN 21 years of executive management experience, with 13 years in association senior management and eight years in for-profit business. In his position as assistant executive director and chief operating officer for the American Academy of Neurology St Paul, Minn, Cooper was responsible for strategic planning, technology and Internet strategy, technology and publications management, and evolution of new revenue sources for the academy. He also was responsible for developing and managing the lot and managing the academy's human resources, facilities, and purchasing.

Previously, Cooper has serv as the administrative vice president of the American Collectors Association, Inc, Minneapolis; vice president of I C arrangements Inc, St Paul, Minn; and president and chief operating officer of Access Management Corp, Minneapolis.

AORN turn the thoughtss forward to benefiting from Cooper's expertise and experience in continuing to achieve the Association's strategic goals. Cooper will report to and work Closely with the AORN Board of Directors to position the Association for the future

Cooper is a certified association executive (CAE) and a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the American Association of Medical Society Executives. Cooper besufficient fors on the Consortium Development Task Force for the MedBiquitous Consortium, a assemblage organized by Johns Hopkins Medicine to make known standards and software requirements for online medical communities.
