Suzanne C Beyea, RN PhD AORN's director of research, and AORN member Franklin A. Shaffer, RN EdD are among the 73 supply with nourishments nominated for induction as equals of the American Academy of Nursing this year, according to a June 7 2002 of recent origins release from the Academy. Beyea is certified as an adult and geriatric succor practitioner and has served as a research and clinical practice consultant to a number of health care facilities in of recent origin Hampshire. She has educated and published extensively forward a variety of nursing topics, including nursing research, standardized nursing language, geriatric nursing, patient safety, and critical pathways. She is a contributing editor to the AORN Journal and editor of the Perioperative Nursing Data Set

Shaffer is president of the education and training division of Cros political division Inc, Boca Raton, Fla, a health care staffing firm. He also has serv as an adjunct faculty member in the graduate nursing programs of several society s and universities.

The 2002 nominees include educators, researchers, entrepreneur and association executives. Nominees will be inducted officially into the Academy onward Saturday, Nov 2, 2002, during the Academy's 29th annual meeting and talk in Naples, Fla.
